After attending the University of South Carolina, Shannon served as Research and Statistical Analyst for the South Carolina Department of Commerce. She then moved into the private sector, working with an estate planner in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. While in Hilton Head, Shannon founded her own personal financial services company, Independent Means, LLC. This company and its clients were able to move with her as she explored living in the Northeast and returned to her home state of South Carolina. While living in Nantucket, Massachusetts, Shannon also served in secondary public education as an educator in the Special Education Department and later with the Financial and Accreditation Departments.

Since joining NBS in 2007, Shannon was worn many hats. She began her position as Human Resources Assistant; added Corporate Office Management; and further expanded her responsibilities by taking on the role of Education Coordinator. In May of 2009, Shannon was promoted to Business Manager and is charged managing the financial aspects of National Baromedical Services.  She currently balances this position with her work as Education Coordinator.
